15 years guiding experience • High-altitude trekking

I was born in Nagar, right where Rakaposhi's shadow touches our fields. As a boy, I used to watch the mountain change colors at sunrise while herding our goats. My father was a porter for expeditions in the 80s, and he taught me these trails before I could walk. Now, after 15 years of guiding, I know every stream, every safe camping spot, every place where the wildflowers bloom first. This mountain is my home, and I want you to see it the way we do - not as tourists, but as guests in our home.

About This Experience

Embark on an unforgettable journey to the base of Rakaposhi, the 27th highest mountain in the world, located in the Nagar Valley. This trek takes you through the picturesque village of Minapin in Nagar, where you'll be welcomed by local Nagar families who have called these mountains home for generations.

The trail winds through ancient juniper forests, across crystal-clear streams, and into vast alpine meadows carpeted with wildflowers during summer. As you ascend, the views of Rakaposhi's gleaming white peak become increasingly dramatic, culminating in a campsite at the base camp where the mountain seems close enough to touch.

This experience is perfect for trekkers seeking both adventure and cultural immersion, as your local guide will share stories of the mountain's legends and the traditional way of life in the Nagar Valley.
